Park Play Date!

One of the biggest blessings in my life as a mom is the community of wonderful stay at home mom's in our church.  I just love these ladies.  They are fun, reliable, intelligent, wise, witty, crafty, patient, loving, filled with grace, and down to earth.  They know how to pick me up and keep me grounded at the same time.  I can't describe how thankful I am to have them.  We are starting once-a-month play dates so the kids can play together and (more importantly) so we can have fellowship with each other.  I "hosted" this time around and everyone met at the park up the street from our house.  We brought lunch and then had a blast on the playground.  The babies got to swing and eat wood chips while the bigger kids swung on the tire swing and mastered the monkey bars.  I tried to get a picture of every kid but Chrissy left with her girls before I got to them.  Thanks again ladies!  Looking forward to October and seeing everyone who couldn't make it to this month!

Green Acres

One thing I look forward to every year is a trip to the pumpkin patch.  I enjoy the smell of the hay, the corn maze, the open fields, the horses, cowboy hats and boots, and the general "farm" feel it brings.  This year was extra special since it was Jet's first trip.  I'm well aware that he won't remember it, but that's what the pictures are for :)  Not to mention I think he really did enjoy all the different experiences he had.  My parents came along and we had a wonderful time.  Thanks for coming Grandma and Grandpa!  And thanks for making it happen hubs!

Jet actually really enjoyed sitting in the tractor.  He grabbed onto the wheel with 2 hands and was just smiling and giggling the whole time.  Was quite fun to watch.

Last but not least was a hay ride.  It had a shelter which kept the sun from beating on us and the wind coming off the lake was perfect. It was quite peaceful and if we had time I think I would have gone again :)

Good 'ole country hay stacks

As we were leaving there were horses nearby to pet.  JT took Jet to pet them for the first time.

He liked them!  He was smiling and laughing when he was watching then.  Jet seems to like any animals right now (he goes crazy for my mom's dogs). 

And of course wrapping up the day with wiping the hands with baby wipes.  A Rimbey Family must!
