Yesterday marked 5 months old for Mr. Jet Thomas :) Here are a few memorable things about this month:
-Jet now responds to his name (or at least he looks at you when you talk to him)
-We started with rice cereal but he hated it. Then we tried the oatmeal and he loved it. Now, we've done peas and carrots (separately) but they have to be thickened with oatmeal. Otherwise he can't get it to the back of his throat to swallow and gets frustrated.
-A few more giggles now. Like real laughing but they are still seldom.
-Starting to reach for food and open his mouth wide. Grabbing for spoon and bottle.
-Cries if he sees the bottle and doesn't get it right away.
-Understands when he's alone now, may cry when mommy leaves the room (has only happened twice though).
-Drooling e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e!
-Puts everything in his mouth from his hands to toys to blankets.
-Reaches for toys. If he's crying he can be distracted by a toy if you hold it in front of him because he wants to grab it and eat it.
-17 pounds!
-Starting to get hair. Looks red in some of the pictures but that's because of the lighting. It's more of a light/dark brown.
-Smiles all.the.time.
-Pulls at his clothes.
-Recognizes daddy :)
Here are the captured moments from his 5 month photo shoot. You're doing a great job Jet Thomas. You're a wonderful son and bring so many smiles to our day :)

Jet you are a little heartbreaker already! Tell Mommy and Daddy you are ready for a sleepover at Grandma's house. Bring your stroller and books!
PS. I'm with you. Rice cereal? Yuk. Bring it over and we'll work it into the dog's meal times!
