Just some pictures

For those Jet fans out there just thought I'd post some recent pictures.  Not too much excitement going on to post about.  So, here ya go!

I was putting Jet down for a nap and when I started swaddling him he all of a sudden didn't look tired to me, so I took him back out into the living room to play on his playmat.  Found him like this moments later...

Guess Mamma's instincts were right the first time!

Here are a few of my students from last year.  They have been dying to see Jet, so one of the Mom's had me over for lunch and we waited for the girls to get home.  They were quite excited to say the least :)

Uncle Matt got to come over and spend the afternoon with us a few days ago.  What a treat that was!  He was talking about how little Jet's thumbs were compared to his so he took a picture to remember this time :)

And now... the many faces of Jet Thomas thanks to Uncle Matt

Then, we went for a walk using our new Baby Bjorn.  Look Ma!  No hands!

Well, that's it for now folks.  More later!

Aunt Kristy and Uncle Jon

Aunt Kristy and Uncle Jon came to see Jet for the first time.. and he loved them!  He was happy the whole time :)  JT and Kristy ran in a half marathon together on Sunday (Jon and I held down the sidelines).  Kristy and I hit the outlets while JT and Jon went to NCAA tournament games on Friday (no pictures from those events... sigh).  We just had a great weekend.  Here are some pictures.  Thanks for coming Aunt Kristy and Uncle Jon.  We love you so much!  Give those kids hugs for us!!

Sure do love my Aunt Kristy :)

Just chillin' with my Uncle Jon :)

Action shot!  Coming down the home stretch.

Way to go you two!  So proud of you!

And... we're in!

I think I forgot just how tough moving is.  The last 2 weeks have been super hectic!  It took many days to pack up and probably an hour to pack the truck and 15 min. to unload it... how's that you ask?  We had 17 people help us!!!  17!!!  We are so blessed with such supportive friends, family, and church class.  Here's the story in pictures....

The beginning...

Vimal manned the truck, great job Vimal!

Eating much deserved pizza after lots of hard work

Pizza and an empty truck :)

Matt and Beth, awkward family photos :)

New fridge!  Well, we actually ended up switching this one out today because it was leaking.  And the Rimbey's are done with water problems :)

Helpers!

Thanks again everybody!!  We would still be moving if it weren't for you all!!

New Furniture!

Well, we're swimming in boxes trying to get ready for the big move tomorrow... but, here's a quick preview of the new furniture!  It was delivered on Wednesday.  We did "express delivery" which means they can deliver it the day after you order it but you have to be home from 7am-10pm and there is no warning of when they will drop in.  JT took the 7am-10:30am shift when the inspector was there and then Jetman and I got there and waited until it came.  Thank goodness it arrived at 3pm and we didn't have to wait until 10:00!  More pictures once we get settled in, but enjoy these for now!

Itty bitty table!

2 months!

Our Jet Engine is 2 months old!  In one way it seems like it's gone by so fast, and in another way I feel like he's been in our lives for years :)  We just love him so much!  Highlights for month 2...

1) JE learned to smile (intentionally).  When you smile at him he smiles back.  When you tickle him or make fun noises he smiles :)

2) JE can hold his head up (for the most part).  It still falls after he's held it up for a few seconds, but definitely much stronger.

3) Looking around.  JE finds something with his eye and follows it.

4) Recognition of things.  He knows when mommy's around :)  He also knows when we're heading upstairs for nap time or when Mommy/Daddy are coming up the stairs to get him from a nap.

5) Sleeping through the night!  Well, we've had 5 straight nights of 7-9 hours, wahoo!

6) Strong legs.  If you hold him up and put his legs on your lap he will use his leg muscles and "stand" on you.

7) Lots of "cooing" sounds.

What a neat journey to watch this boy grow.  We are packing up this week and will be moving on Saturday to our new home!!  Watch for updates!  Until then, here are a few pics of the little man to hold you over :)

Just hanging out on Daddy's lap

Ready for bed!

Haha!!  We dig this one!!

2 months old buckaroo!  You're doing great and we love you!!

Aunt Beth came over today to visit with us.  It has been a real treat having her and Matthew nearby.  They've been so supportive and encouraging to us as we share life together.  They are truly a blessing in our lives.  We love you!!

Seefood diet... over.

Well, now that the baby is here the baby weight must be lost.  Which means I gotta kick the "seafood" diet to the curb and pick up the exercising once more.  I took advantage of the 73 degree weather here and went on my first run in 15 months.  Man, did I feel it!  Jet did great.  I pushed him for 2 miles and he slept the entire time.  It was by a lake and my stroller has a built in iPod jack and speakers so I could listen to music without having headphones on.  It was quite nice. Haven't run since because my legs yell at me every time I sit down or go upstairs, but we'll be hitting the pavement again sometime this week.  Feels good to run, thankful that I can!

Jetman asleep the whole time!

The setup - serious jogging stroller, baby, water, music... check!

Love this little boy.
