Bear with me

So, I'm out of the free space allowed for this blog site.  I either have to start paying a monthly fee or start a new blog.  Considering my options... bear with me!

Friends!

One of the most wonderful things about living where we do is the circle of friends we have.  It just so happens that 3 other ladies had their first children right around when Jet was born.  Ava was born 12 days before Jet, Aiden was born 3 days before Jet, and Caleb was born 2 and a half months after Jet.  We are all stay at home moms and with kids so close in age we sometimes get together and share stories, laugh about mommy-hood, and get LOTS of advice from each other.  Their friendships are priceless.  One thing we try to do is get a picture of all 4 babies together whenever we can.  This is getting harder and harder as our "babies" are getting older and are inquiring a will of their own.  Enjoy the montage.

Jet wanted to lay down so Stephanie was holding him.

Aiden crawling to Momma, Ava following

Aiden wants Momma, Jet still trying to lay down, Caleb's not sure what's going on

Ava sucking thumb, Aiden upset, Caleb and Jet find toys

Aaaaand Aiden's in Momma's arms, others are completely distracted

There goes Jet

Oh well, on to individual shots

This hammer is pretty cool (and look at that full head of hair!!)

So sweet, I loooooove this girl!!

Precious smiley Caleb!!  Love him!

Thanks for coming over ladies!!  I love getting together and sharing life :)

Typical

On this particular day Jet woke up early and went down late for a nap due to church.  By the time we got home we were pushing 5 hours since he'd eaten.  He ate maybe 2 ounces when I looked over to see this.  Please notice the bottle on the floor behind him.  Yes, he'd much rather play than eat :)  Oh, boys.

Uncle Matt!

Uncle Matt was able to swing through town for a few days as he was headed to New York for a business trip.  We always love seeing him.  Comfortable conversations, good laughs, and just fun.  Thanks for stopping in Uncle Matt, we love you!!

We went for a walk and saw this awesome tree and decided to snap some shots :)

The last of the firsts

It has been a blast experiencing all of Jet's "firsts" in his life.  His first week of life, first trip to the doctors, first time eating, crawling, etc.  First plane ride and best of all his first holiday's.  Halloween kicks off the holiday season and since Jet was born shortly after this season we are coming down to our last "first experiences" with him.  Well, his first Halloween was a major success if you ask me :)  It started last weekend as we went to our annual Sunday School Halloween party where everyone dresses up.  We went as Daniel, the lion, and the angel from the Bible story Daniel in the Lion's den.  It was fun because a lot of our friends had babies around the same time we did so there were a lot of first Halloween goers.
Daniel in the Lion's den

Cat out of the bag, fork in the road, and pretty flower

Royal family

Curious George :)

Cook, astronaut, princess, and wonder woman

Doctor, nurse, and their x-ray

Princesses

Disney

Zookeepers and their Giraffe

Lame-O's who didn't dress up... BUT... they did this cool pose to make up for it!

Mulan... amazing!

Just wanted to show the wings, this woman is an amazing seamstress!!

Captain and invisible co-captain who was away on business... flying a plane.

New family!

Saints fans (they also had brown paper bags to wear on their head labeling them the "aints")

The Halloween festivities continued on Halloween at JT's work.  They throw a big bash every year where the families get to come dressed up and enjoy food and bouncy house entertainment.  Jet couldn't partake in the bounciness this year, but he will soon enough!

Father's and their kiddo's (Jet's ready for trick-or-treating with his bucket!)

To round off Halloween we came home and watched the famous "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown."  I'm a fan of old traditions so Jet had a shirt to match :)  We watched the movie as kids came around and gathered candy.  It was fun looking at all their costumes.  Kids are hilarious.f  We thought one kid was going to come right in, "Is THAT Charlie Brown?  I LOVE Charlie Brown!"  ... said kid then ducks under my arm to see the TV more clearly.  I should've gotten him some popcorn!

Daddy and Jet watching Charlie Brown

This is the beginning of the movie where Lucy inevitable tricks Charlie Brown into running and kicking the football that she's holding.  He was too smart for her this time and said, "you just want me to kick it so you can pull it away right before and I'll fall on my back."  Lucy proceeds, "But Charlie Brown, this time I have a signed document saying I won't pull it away."

"It's a signed document!!"  Says Charlie Brown

Running with document in hand

And of course, Lucy moves the football and Charlie Brown lands on his back

"Funny thing about this document Charlie Brown... it's not notarized."

We had fun hanging out together as a family.  I'm no happier than when I'm with my boys.  I must say, Charlie Brown isn't what I remember.  They call ideas "stupid" and call each other names quite a bit throughout the movie.  Hmmm.. don't want those words in this house!  Oh well, guess we'll see how the years shape up.  Nonetheless it was a successful Halloween... SO excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas!!  Life is fun with a kid :)

Chalk fun

I'm trying to find fun activities to do with Jet now that he's getting a little older; a little more able to interact and use his motor skills.  So, while waiting for Daddy to come home we broke out a favorite childhood pastime of mine... sidewalk chalk!  Jet obviously didn't know what to do with it, but he explored this new thing in his own way.  He inspected it carefully as a baby does and then tried to eat it.  I showed him how to use it by drawing some things and I also traced him.  He enjoyed our time nonetheless.  I had quite a blast as it's always nice to get out and breathe fresh air.  Life is fun with this kid :)
